The short version
This site calculates in the browser. Nothing entered into the calculator is transmitted to, or stored on, any server operated for this site. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms and no contact forms collecting financial information.
What is collected
The calculator inputs (pay, state, filing status, deductions) exist only in the page on the device being used. The share-link feature encodes the entered numbers in the URL hash of the link the reader chooses to copy; that link is created locally, and anyone it is sent to can see the numbers in it. Closing the page discards the inputs.
Like most websites, this site is served by a hosting provider whose systems keep standard server logs (such as IP address, time of request and pages requested) for security and operations. URL hashes are not sent to servers, so calculator inputs are not part of those logs. The site itself sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts in this version.
Third parties
Pages on this site make no third-party requests in this version: fonts and scripts are served with the site itself. If advertising or analytics are added in a future version, this policy will be updated before they are enabled, and the change will be noted with a new date below.
